My Vision for Our Community

Your family’s safety is my top priority.

True public safety means ensuring our community can rest easy at night. With 33 years on the streets, I know how to build a department that accomplishes both public safety and public trust. We’ll stay ahead of crime through stronger patrols, better community partnerships, and a proactive approach that stops problems before they start. Our residents deserve to feel safe at home, at work, and in their neighborhoods—so we’ll equip our deputies with the tools, training, and manpower to respond quickly and effectively. Safety isn’t a campaign promise; it’s my top priority and responsibility.

Transparency

Real leaders don’t just talk about transparency and accountability—they prove it through action. After 33 years, I know trust is earned through honesty, not campaign slogans. When mistakes happen, we’ll own them, learn, and do better. That means keeping our community informed, being clear about how tax dollars are spent, and having the courage to explain tough decisions. True accountability comes from experience where your word means everything—not from political talking points. When people know their sheriff will be honest, even when the truth is hard, real community policing happens and everyone is safer.

Accountability

Here’s the truth: Crime is rising because criminals aren’t being held accountable. When they think they can get away with it, they keep breaking the law—and our community suffers. That ends here. With over 30 years on the streets, I know what works: strong cases, close work with prosecutors and judges, and real sentences that deter crime. In this county, if you break the law, you’ll face swift, serious consequences. Actions have consequences—and that’s how we make our community safer.

Child & Minor Protection

Nothing is more important than protecting our children. Crimes against kids are the worst, and anyone who harms a child in our county will face the full force of the law. I will ensure these cases get specialized investigators, resources, and federal support to build rock-solid cases. Protecting children requires commitment and expertise, and their safety will always be my top priority.

Cooperative Federal Law Enforcement

Partnering with federal law enforcement through programs like 287G is a smart, law-focused approach that helps us target violent criminals, drug dealers, and repeat offenders—not hardworking families. Everyone in our community deserves respect and dignity, and we want people to feel safe calling us when they need help. But if you’re committing serious crimes, we’ll use every tool available to hold you accountable. After 33 years on the job, I know these partnerships keep dangerous people off our streets while building trust with law-abiding residents. This is about results, not politics.

Credibility through Experience

There’s a difference between managing from a desk and leading from experience. After 33 years on patrol, I know what works, what our deputies need, and how to make tough decisions that keep both the community and officers safe. Credibility comes from earning your stripes alongside those on the front lines—not from a title. Our county needs a sheriff who’s been there, done that, and earns trust every day.

Deputy Quality of Life

A strong sheriff’s department starts with taking care of the men and women who wear the badge. After 30+ years in law enforcement, I’ve seen morale make or break a department. When deputies are supported, respected, and properly equipped, they do better work and stay longer—giving our community better service. We’ll invest in training, equipment, fair scheduling, and leadership that understands the challenges officers face every day. A department that takes care of its own takes better care of the community.
